I'm a harsh critic when it comes to FPS games and I for one consider Crysis 2 to be (released as of yet...) Game of the Year. It's a stunning title and it's multiplayer componant is fantastic, its truly a thinking man's shooter.
It looks as though we may just get an announcement of the third installment of the Dead Rising Franchise. I sure as hell hope we'll be seeing Frank and isabella making a return and I can't see anyother possibility considering the ending of Case West. Frank is one of the best characters in the catalogue of Capcom characters and I desperately hope the third game is as good as the original. The second was still great, but the original had the upperhand. It's probably the setting, or ...
E3 Demo Confirmed showcasing the Dynamic Teamwork with Elizabeth and heavily focused on the dynamics of the players relationship with her. This is fantastic news considering one of my wants for the game was that the combinations aren't only scripted.
With Ken suggesting that relationships in games need to give a sense of connection, with him mentioning the word "Sacrifice" for them a few times, I'm predicting that you'll do just that at the end of the ...
I love the subtle details that contribute to the realism of the fighting. When Smoke punches Cyrax we are met with the sound of beaten steel. The game looks fantastic. Unfortunately the game releases during the Gears of War 3 Beta, therfore I'll be picking this game up around a month after its release (When the Gears of War 3 Beta ends)...
"gears 2 was a bit of a letdown"
How so? And don't use lag as a dissapointment, if you had skill it mattered nothing and its been fixed now. Besides, it achieved a larger Metacritic score than the majority of the games you stated...
Don't feel bad for the PC Version, I own both Console and PC Version, both are stunning but the PC version is still miles ahead of the consoles version, its breathtaking...
The main sacrifice for the consoles was the open world, but I don't mind due to some of the levels still being set in a huge landscape...
"Considering what they had to work on"
The only cans I saw in this game, could be picked up and on doing so where slightly crushed in Alcatraz's hand. And thats on Xbox 360. (I also own the PC Version)
Same here my fellow Gears of War fanatic!
I'm intrigued as to what will become of the Mass Effect Universe after the release of Mass Effect 3. I remember thinking on the release date of the Original Mass Effect whilst playing it that the Universe would make a fantastic setting for an MMO...
I'm SO happy that my choices in the Original Mass Effect are going to take effect in the Third title. I was dissapointed with characters who could have potentially died in the original, however survived, only making cameos in the second title. It sounds as though Bioware had the plot mapped out from the begining, what with the choice of killing or saving the Rachni Queen. Also, I'm glad to have heard in the details released a few days ago that the third installment is going to feature...
This is OLD. Bring on the 18th Baby!
The Original Mass Effect won't get ported as Microsoft are the Publishers. And theres the case of it being too damn powerful for the Wii to power!
Wow, how the hell did that trailer slip past me?!
And I didn't pay to close attention to news regarding this game so apologies for my lack of knowledge and the update is very much appreciated.
I feel like such a moron...
Considering its a downloadable title I would agree...
When the game was initially announced a few years ago, it screamed potential. I pictured an Open-World, Third-Person Platformer, where you have to use your iniciative to survive, perhaps a complex dialogue system to negotiate with other civilians in the city. The first let-down of sorts, whilst only minor, was that of the title being First Person, it was barable as it meant the game had the potential to be more emmersive. The second and hardest let-down arrived after the game slipped off the ...
I am NOT looking at the Campaign Achievements. As a Gears obsessive and having played the franchise since day one I don't want the end of the trilogy spoilt for me...
I'm eagerly anticipating some Multiplayer Footage. Battlefield 3 looks to be DICE's Masterpiece, SO much effort is being pumped into this title, so many minor, subtle details. I'm never usually a fan of Modern war FPS', but this looks Stunning. I may have to pick up a copy of Medal of Honour for Beta access...
@ invenio
You're basing that off of one console change. I think Microsoft will realise that the coomunity wants backwards compatability with full online servers...
I think an 4 Hour+ Co-Op Campaign, we're the punishment for dying is being returned to the lobby (individually) leaving your teammates to carry on the campaign one man down, then there will be both a need for teamwork and a serious fear towards dying.
It plays into the games story though. In the original Dead Rising you were expecting rescue in 3 Days, and the game's story progressed throughout the time of day. I can understand where you're coming from but you get a sense of realism when you're in a battle with both Zombies and time.
